Lady Trieu is a female television character who features in Watchmen.

Biography

Lady Trieu was a female human born in Vietnam in 1986 as the daughter of Bian My and Adrian Veidt. Her mother was originally a maid in the Veidt household where she wanted to defy her employer and secretly stole a sample of Adrian's sperm. With it, she inseminated herself where she escaped Karnak in the middle of the night without his knowledge. Thus, he was unaware of the birth of his daughter who grew up to be highly intelligent as the result of her father's genetics where she excelled in academics despite her young age. Recogising her intellectual potential, her mother sought to shape Trieu into becoming the smartest woman in the world where she had her daughter suffer isolation, tough love and enhanced transcendental meditation. At 15 years old, she graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where by 2001 she had PhDs in astrophysics, nuclear fission, bioengineering, and nanochemistry. When she was 19 years old, Lady Trieu decided to purchase the university with her growing fortune.

  • Lady Trieu was created by Damon Lindelöf where she was portrayed by actor Hong Chau and was an original character for the Watchmen television series.
  • The character was named after Lady Triệu who was a female warrior in 3rd century Vietnam where she resisted the Chinese state of Eastern Wu.
