Lt. Griffin was the leader of Beta Team in Operation Falcon under Col. Calvin Henderson. When the extraterrestrial pilot of a crashed alien ship escaped a predefiner perimeter in Townshend, Wisconsin, Beta Team was sent in to capture it. Griffin, Jackson and two other men encountered the alien, which turned out to be an energy creature, and it killed them.
