Biography

A new hero in Supergirl v4 #1.

She was taken from her point in time and joined four other Supergirls in the timestream by Bizarro to help free Superman from the Source Wall. Linda then joined in the fight against the Maximum's and the forces brought against Superman and Batman. (Superman/Batman v1 #25)

  • The Linda Danvers Supergirl was created by Peter David and Gary Frank where she made her first appearance in Supergirl v4 #1 (September, 1996).

Television

  • In Superman: The Animated Series, the character did not make an appearance in the series but Supergirl's costume resembled the Linda Danvers version.
  • In Smallville, Linda Danvers was referenced in the live-action series in an alternate reality in the episode "Apocalypse" with it being an identity taken by Supergirl actor Laura Vandervoort. This reality was a world where Clark Kent did not exist and Kara Zor-El was raised by the Luthors where she took on the name of Linda Danvers. Danvers was aware of her Kryptonian lineage and worked for Lex Luthor as an agent of the Department of Domestic Security.
  • In Supergirl, Linda Danvers did not make an appearance but the Danvers family was shown in the live-action series with Supergirl being the identity taken by Kara Zor-El who operated as Kara Danvers.
