Biography

Daughter of Thundra and Hulk in Savage She-Hulk v2 #1.
Meeting her aunt Jen in She-Hulks v1 #1.

Lyra was the daughter of Thundra and the Hulk whose genetic material was acquired by her mother to produce an offspring in her native future timeline of Earth-8009. (Fall of the Hulks: The Savage She-Hulks v1 #1)

Though prepared to mate with Osborn, she ultimately rejected this notion as she could not have a child with such a figure despite the order from the Gynosure. Thus, Lyra came to reject not only her mission but continuing to serve the Sisterhood. At the time, Boudicca had pledged her service to Lyra despite the warrior rejecting Milago's mission with the pair having to battle the Dark Avengers. Despite putting up a fight, she was overwhelmed by her foes who nearly captured her until She-Hulk arrived. She-Hulk was working with A.R.M.O.R. and used a communication signal to allow herself along with Lyra to be teleported away. Boudicca informed Lyra that access to H.A.M.M.E.R.s computers allowed her to find the location of a factory that still existed in the far future that contained the means to produce the macroprocessors needed by the Sisterhood to repair their cradle technology. The artificial intelligence beamed this information to Gynosure in the future who sent arms-maids to recover the processor thus saving Milago who bade Lyra to find her own path. Initially, Director Little Sky intended to deport her back to her home reality of Earth-8009 when he received a message from Director Osborn threatening action against A.R.M.O.R. It was then Lyra revealed that Boudicca contained a copy of Norman Osborn's secrets with Director Little Sky deciding to make a deal with the warrior whereby in exchange for the information she could remain on Earth-616 as an agent of A.R.M.O.R. whereby she responded to inter-dimensional incursions. (Savage She-Hulk v2 #4)

She came to learn that Jennifer Walters was missing but efforts to get her superiors at A.R.M.O.R. to find her were a failure until one of its agents volunteered to aid Lyra in secret. (Incredible Hulk v1 #601) Their ship was brought down by the Gamma Corps: Black under orders of General John Ryker who was the CEO of the Origins Corporation where they intended to harvest Lyra of her genetic material. (Incredible Hulk v1 #602)

After learning of her mothers location, Lyra in a rage decided to confront her over her actions that had led to the injustices she had experienced in her life. The anger she experienced actually weakened her and led to her being defeated by Thundra who left her be as she felt meeting her future daughter would affect her future timeline. In the aftermath, Lyra decided to integrate herself into society and attempted to appear human. She was then approached by the Wizard who wanted her to join him as one of the Frightful Four as her mother had rejected the offer. At first, she refused leading to a confrontation with Bentley and his allies among the Frightful Four who she managed to defeat. It was then that she was ambushed by the Red She-Hulk who beat her but the Wizard stopped further fighting. He ended hostilities as a show of sincerity and stated that Earth would never accept her for being a Hulk whereas he along with his allies had a place on his team. Lyra then decided to join the team but this was only a cover for her infiltrating the Intelligencia organization that was targeting superheroes around the world. Whilst on the Frightful Four, she was deployed on her first mission where she and her team mates attacked the Baxter Building to abduct Reed Richards. Lyra's assignment was to distract and deal with the Human Torch Johnny Storm where she succeeded on her assignment. After returning to the Intelligencia's headquarters, she used the Wizard's access codes to enter deep into the facility where she found that Jennifer Walters had been captured by the villains who kept her in stasis. (Fall of the Hulks: The Savage She-Hulks v1 #1)

She joined She-Hulk on the mission in hunting down the escaped members of the Intelligencia. This saw the pair of them going undercover with Lyra assuming a civilian guise as a highschool student. It was seen as both as a means of catching their quarry and letting Lyra learn more about the world she was protecting. (She-Hulks v1 #1)

Afterwards, she began targeting the energy companies where she attacked locations that were damaging the environment. One such operation was made by the Roxxon Energy Corporation with Llyra attacking one of their fracking sites. She was then confronted by the Hulk who was controlled by his Doc Green persona that was determined to remove all gamma mutations from the planet. In Llyra's case, he wanted to send her back to her Earth leading to a fight between the pair before she was forced into a portal. However, the portal did not lead to her world but instead saw her being banished into another dimension. In shock, Doc Green questioned his artificial intelligence that was responsible for programming the destination where it stated that it saw her as a threat and decided to send her to another dimension to neutralise her. (Hulk v3 #11) Whilst trapped there, she battled the nightmarish creatures that inhabited the dimension and defeated them. Lyra came to conclude that the violent natives were the result of the male inhabitants who she enslaved whereupon she instituted a female led society with herself as empress. She then came to keep a number of the males as part of her royal harem with her society developing under Lyra's rule. This was until Randall Jessup and Daman Veteri arrived where they thought that they were saving Lyra from the dimension. As a result, she was teleported back to Earth though Lyra wanted to return to the civilization she had founded with the two scientists attempting to help find its location whilst they served as her new harem. (Hulk v3 #16) Afterwards, she was approached by her mother Thundra about spending time together with the two journeying to Weirdworld. (Squadron Supreme v4 #15)

Overview

Personality and attributes

After assuming a civilian identity, she took the name of Lyra Walters. (She-Hulks v1 #1)

Despite that, she did show regret at having to disconnect the cradle used by the tribes of men as it would lead to their extinction. (Savage She-Hulk v2 #2)

She was raised from girlhood to be an honorable armsmaiden of the United Sisterhood Republic which meant defying a superior officer was almost physically painful to her. (Incredible Hulk v1 #601)

Lyra admired the original She-Hulk as the kind of warrior who she aspired to be as she showed kindness even in battle. She considered Jennifer Walters her only true friend and was duty-bound to find as well as give her aid. (Incredible Hulk v1 #601)

Powers and abilities

Similar to her father, she could slam her palms together creating a powerful burst of force that could cause people to fall back or snuff out fire. (Hulk v2 #19)

She could enter into an autotrance where she could see the Gamma Rays radiated everywhere whereby in a calm and centred state she could anticipate the movements of her opponent by sensing the radiation inherent in their bodies. (Savage She-Hulk v2 #3) Gynosure taught Lyra on how to enter into the autotrance by using a manta that was the lambda-CDM concordance model of the Big Bang. The Gamma Rays that were created from the Big Bang resided in the entire universe and by sensing it she could anticipate her foes movements. (Savage She-Hulk v2 #4) Unlike the other women in Milago, she was born naturally and could bear offspring whereas the other females of the Sisterhood were sterile. (Savage She-Hulk v2 #3)

Unlike her father, anger was not the source of her strength and in fact it weakened her. Thus, the angrier she got the weaker she got leaving her unable to fight stronger foes. (Savage She-Hulk v2 #2) G-Engineers had created a deliberate weakness within her body that was to serve as a fail-safe in case she ever turned against them. This allowed them to nullify her through an overdose of Gamma Rays which triggered a weakness in her cells regardless of her emotional state. (Savage She-Hulk v2 #3)

She was provided a wrist mounted machine called Boudicca that gave her information and advised her. Originally, the device was a child's toy that was back-engineered to become a remote extension of Gynosure which in turn served as the cybernetic repository of the collective knowledge of Milago. The artificial intelligence within had a strong feminine personality that believed the female gender was superior to all and she served the wearer whilst assisted in the completion of any mission. Boudicca had a taunt mode where it would speak out words to antagonise enemies though this could be turned off. On command, the artificial intelligence could divert all processing speed to tactical information where she provided commentary on threats nearby along with the weapons used by enemies. (Savage She-Hulk v2 #1) It could generate tendrils to connect to other machines allowing Boudicca to interface with them and override their systems. (Savage She-Hulk v2 #3) She displayed her avatar as that of a unicorn kind of creature. Though linked to Gynosure via tachyon stream to the future, Boudicca was dedicated to serving Lyra until her protocol was permanently erased. (Savage She-Hulk v2 #4) Electromagnetic jamming was able to prevent her from sending out broadcast messages. (Incredible Hulk v1 #601)

In the future, the Sisterhood had domesticated the Venom Symbiote by treating themselves with pheromones that were an anathema to it. (Savage She-Hulk v2 #4) Bruce Banner used technology based on S.P.I.N. tech that Lyra could use to adopt her human form. (She-Hulks v1 #1)
