After the establishment of the Krakoa nation, Mutants from around the world gathered to be in their new homeland. Amara was among those that journeyed and stayed on the living island. During this time, she received word from her father at Nova Roma about a fleeing Mutant. Arriving with Boom-Boom and Armor, they came to learn that the Mutant had been pursued by mysterious wolf-like creatures had been hunting migrant Mutants. Magma and her comrades managed to slay the creatures but did not uncover their origins. (New Mutants v4 #8)
