Biography

Geheneris Hala´son Mahr Vehl on Earth in Ultimate Secret v1 #1.
Operating alongside Earth's heroes in Ultimate Comics Mystery v1 #1.

Geheneris HalaSon Mahr Vehl was a male member of the alien race known as the Kree. He eventually enlisted into the ranks of the Kree Void Navy where he managed to rise to the rank of Pluskommander. A member of the Halason family, who according to Kree religion were God's chosen. Mahr Vehl denies this view and insists that his ancestor, Hala, was not a God—rather simply a man who believed that all that innocent life was worth saving. Initially a spy sent to Earth in an attempt to prevent humans from developing interstellar travel, Mahr Vehl abandons his mission and adopts the identity of physicist Dr. Phillip Lawson. Under this guise, Mahr Vehl aids the human scientists in the development of an interstellar engineering program at a secret S.H.I.E.L.D. installation in New Mexico. (Ultimate Secret v1 #2)

When the Kree attack the installation, Mahr Vehl is forced to reveal himself and battle the attackers. Although able to successfully defend the installation, Mahr Vehl is rendered unconscious and is eventually questioned by Nick Fury. Mahr Vehl explains he is a member of the Kree himself, and that they have been observing Earth to determine if humanity poses a threat to the Kree in the larger galaxy. (Ultimate Secret v1 #2) Observing mankind's violent nature, Mahr Vehl reveals that the Kree have decided to confine humanity on Earth until the entity Gah Lak Tus can destroy them, ending the potential threat. (Ultimate Secret v1 #4)

During the mysterious attacks on the Baxter Building and Roxxon, Mahr Vehl was sent to protect Project Pegasus from a similar attack. There he encountered Rick Jones, who came to warn that something was going to destroy the world. (Ultimate Mystery v1 #1) Mahr Vehl tried to grasp Jones' accounts until his entire body is compromised and taken controlled, forcing him to attack Project Pegasus. Mahr Vehl was then teleported away by Jones to the ruins of the Baxter Building where he engages the former members of the Fantastic Four. (Ultimate Mystery v1 #2)
