Biography

Mordred

He later assisted his aunt Morgan le Fay in the time following the destruction of Asgard. She intended to claim the Norn Stones and use their power to take over reality. Part of her plot involved using the stones power to claim Surtur's Twilight Sword. This saw him confronting the Avengers where he summoned Rock Trolls to attack the heroes but he was defeated by Quicksilver who knocked him out of the fight. (Avengers v3 #1) However, the heroes fell to Morgan le Fay's plans as she used the Norn Stones, the Twilight Sword and the Scarlet Witch's powers to rewrite reality itself making it according to her wishes. This saw the world becoming a modern age Camelot with herself as Queen and Mordred as her loyal advisor. They were served by the Avengers who were changed to be the Queen's Vengeance with them being loyal followers of Morgan le Fay. Mordred desired a kingdom to rule in this world and was content with serving in a bureaucratic way. (Avengers v3 #2) Their rule came to be threatened when the Avengers came to regain their true memories and turned on them with Mordred believing it was foolish to leave the heroes alive. However, le Fay had desired a challenge and did not take kindly to Mordred questioning her with her striking him down as well. Despite her power, Morgan le Fay was defeated when the Avengers rallied under the Scarlet Witch who empowered Wonder Man to help defeat the sorceress thus restoring reality back to normal. (Avengers v3 #3)
