Biography

Origin

Namora Nautica Neptunia in Namora v1 #1.

Aquaria Nautica Neptunia

During her early adolescence, she moved to Atlantis with her father which was when she was initially introduced to Namor the youthful prince of Atlantis. He though did not have any interest in hanging out with a girl but ended up being forced to do so by his mother Princess Fen. This led to Namor taking Namora out with him to play with their cousin Byrrah and his friend Meranno. (Saga of the Sub-Mariner v1 #2) They would later explore a sunken submarine when Namor found himself stuck in a torpedo tube where he learnt a lesson in humility when Namora proved to be the only one with the strength to free him. (Sub-Mariner Comics v1 #39) This came to earn Namor's respect where the two became close friends since that day and had spent much of their time together. (Saga of the Sub-Mariner v1 #2)

Recovering, she was met by Namor where Namora revealed the attack made on them by thieves who fled with pearls. Namora looked to join her cousin in order to avenge her father's death. (Marvel Mystery Comics v1 #82)

With the thieves caught, Namora had no place to return to and it was decided that she would stay at Namor's reporter friend Betty Deans apartment. Whilst there, she decided that she would continue to work alongside her cousin the Sub-Mariner as they brought criminals to justice. (Marvel Mystery Comics v1 #82)

Around this time, she came to be involved with noted hunter Sergei Kravinoff where the two spent time on a private beach in Florida by the Emerald Coast. In 1959, she and Kraven were approached by Nick Fury who was recruiting various superhumans as part of the Avengers Initiative. (New Avengers v2 #10)

Agent of Atlas

Later on, the Agents of Atlas came to find the preserved body of Namora located in her damaged coffin. (Agents of Atlas v1 #3)
