Nodel, Dr. Martin

Scientist Dr. Martin Nodel used a serum to stimulate the introns first in a fish, then in himself. The fish grew legs and amphibious lungs, but he grew alien symbols on his hands, a map on his back, and developed an innate desire to select the best of humanity from the students at his college. The end purpose was to send these examples of humankind to an alien spacecraft, launch into space, and then put them in stasis until humanity's end, to serve as a repopulation force.

When Dr. Nodel launched the ship with his chosen people, he was deemed genetically imperfect (despite the activation of his introns) and absorbed into the ship's computers.
