- The Omnicom was created by Keith Giffen, Tom Bierbaum, Mary Bierbaum and Al Gordon where it made its first appearance in Legion of Super-Heroes v4 #1 (November, 1989).
- In Legion of Super-Heroes v4, an epilogue section after the story included events happening around space with it being said to be broadcast on the Omnicom.
