Orka is a male comic supervillain that features in Marvel Comics.

Biography

Orka

During the Civil War, Misty Knight was tasked with heading a team of heroes that looked to stop superhuman related crimes. This saw her assembling a new incarnation of the Heroes for Hire that included former villains among their ranks that was an opportunity for them to redeem themselves. Orka was among those that joined the team where he participated in a sting operation against supervillain criminals. (Heroes for Hire v2 #1)

As Namor declared a state of hostilities against the surface, he gathered a band of Atlantean warriors to aid him with Orka joining the ranks of the Defenders of the Deep. (Avengers v8 #9)

Notes

  • Orka was created by Roy Thomas and Marie Severin where he made his first appearance in Prince Namor, the Sub-Mariner v1 #23 (March, 1970).

Television

  • In Avengers Assemble, Orka appeared in the animated television series in the episode "Kingbreaker" Pt. 1 where he was voiced by actor Roger Craig Smith. He was an Atlantean Commander who became the new head of security after it Tiger Shark was revealed to had been a traitor working for the Shadow Council.
