  • Power Girl was created by Gerry Conway, Joe Orlando, Ric Estrada and Wally Wood where she made her first appearance in All-Star Comics v1 #58 (January/February, 1976).
  • The character was based on Supergirl who was created by Otto Binder and Al Plastino.
  • In the Post-Crisis continuity, an edict was that Superman was to be the sole remaining Kryptonian in the DCU leading to Power Girl's backstory being retconned as a result with her for a time being claiming to be an Atlantean descendant of Arion.

Alternate Versions

  • In Kingdom Come, an alternate version of Power Girl was shown to reside in this future Earth where she was known as Power Woman.
