Biography

Original Timeline

Quan Chi was a mysterious sorcerer who travelled through the realms where he evaded detection by the Elder Gods and amassed great magical power. He later travelled to the Netherrealm where he encountered the fallen god Shinnok who was being tortured by Lucifer in that hellish realm. During their encounter, Shinnok offered him great power and a place by his side if the sorcerer helped to free him. Thus, a pact was forged between the pair and Quan Chi went about freeing Shinnok leading to the two overthrowing Lucifer after which they claimed control of the Netherrealm. The fallen god then honoured their deal by imbuing him with great power and making Quan Chi his arch-sorcerer.
