Qui-Gon Jinn

Qui-Gon Jinn was a Jedi Master and mentor of Obi-Wan Kenobi. He was known to follow his own instincts and ideals rather than simply follow the orders of the Jedi Council.

At age 60, Qui-Gon Jinn was sent to negotiate the crisis on Naboo, and wound up becoming involved in the battle to liberate that world. He also recruited Anakin Skywalker as a Jedi, and planned to train the boy himself. Qui-Gon died in battle against Darth Maul as the final battle for Naboo was fought.
