Biography
Raz Malhotra
At college, he came to study artificial intelligence with this field of study with him writing a dissertation on "Breakthroughs in Moral Paradigms for Artificial Intelligence". In fact, his family believed that upon the completion of his education that Raz would earn millions in the process. However, this changed by the time of Raz attempting to enter into the industry as Hank Pym attempted to rid the world of A.I. As a result, every corporation that was looking to expand their growing divisions on A.I. work came to shut them down immediately as a result of Pym's actions. Thus, by the time of his graduation, Raz had no employment prospects in his field of interest and ended up taking a job at Techbusters after he moved to San Francisco. Sometime later, the villainous scientist Dr. Elihas Starr read Malhotra's dissertation and lured him to his lair after requesting help on his MacBook. In reality, Raz was brought to the criminal's laboratory to use his knowledge of artificial intelligence to help start up Pymtech-created androids of the Avengers. Malhotra repudiated Egghead's plan forcing the villain to use a neural override on his mind thus causing Raz to fall under his control and begin his work. Sometime afterwards, the Ant-Men Hank Pym and Scott Lang had arrived at the hidden laboratory in pursuit of Egghead and found the mind-controlled Malhotra. Egghead then unleashed the A.I.-vengers after Malhotra had deactivated the kill switch implanted on them by Pym. In the resultant fight, Raz was knocked to the side thus freeing him from the mind override device where he blamed himself for the androids attack on Giant-Man and Ant-Man. To rectify his unintentional aid of Egghead, Raz used the laboratory computers to access and shutdown the A.I.vengers with Malhotra being shot with a stun gun by Egghead. Hank Pym then was responsible for knocking out the villain leading to his arrest once the androids were neutralised. (Ant-Man Annual v1 #1)
