Biography

Angmo-Asan was a red-skinned member of the Imperial race on the planet Sakaar. (Skaar: Son of Hulk v1 #3)

With the Death Head Guard under his control, Angmo-Asan slaughtered anyone that came to oppose his rule. (Skaar: Son of Hulk v1 #6)

At some point, he was noted to had fathered a number of children with one being his daughter Omaka. Around 10 years ago, the greatest general of the Red King was Axeman Bone who united the six kingdoms thus bringing their respective warlords into service. However, Angmo-Asan felt he could not defeat the mighty general either and thus decided to send him to fight the barbarians in Fillia after picking a fight with them. With Axeman Bone gone, the Red King conducted a purge he killed the six kings, any lieutenant Axeman Bone had left behind and any blood-relative to prevent anyone from challenging his rule. However, his daughter Princess Omaka survived where she came to despise her father and sought to depose him as well as become the heir to the crown of Sakaar. (Skaar: Son of Hulk v1 #3)

This saw a confrontation between the Red King and the Green Scar where the Sakaaran killed some Imperials in his path as he sought to slay the green-skinned gladiator. This resulted in a fight between the pair in Crown City but despite his power armour the Red King simply made his foe more angry and giving him the strength to smash through the suits systems. A wounded Red King then demanded the Green Scar to bow to him and when he did not then he triggered a failsafe that caused a crack in the mantle that threatened to destroy the planet. However, the Green Scar travelled into the planet and stopped the damage before it became cataclysmic. He then returned to their battle where he knocked the Red King out of the city where he landed in the wilderness. He then attempted to use his authority to get some Imperials to take him to safety when he was ambushed by Wildebots and seemingly killed. (Incredible Hulk v2 #102) Though in reality, the Wildebots took him in where they helped him survive by merging his body with his armour thus turning Angmo-Asan into a cyborg. The experience he claimed had changed his understanding of the world and he sought to save the people of Sakaar. This saw him establish himself at the city of Okini that he sheltered with an Imperian force shield. The Wildebots brought to him a Shadow People relic linked to the Old Power and assembled it as he knew that the Green Scar's son Skaar was destined to utilise the power. Thus, he offered Skaar and the refugees he cared for shelter from the forces of Axeman Bone. (Skaar: Son of Hulk v1 #6)
