  • The Red Torpedo was created by Kevin VanHook and Jose Luis where she made her first appearance in Red Tornado v2 #1 (November, 2009).
  • An earlier Red Torpedo was created by Quality Comics with this being the superhero name of Jim Lockhart.

Television

  • In Young Justice, an adaptation of the character appeared in the setting of the animated television series. This version was a male Red Torpedo created by T. O. Morrow and given cover identity of Jim Lockhart sent to destroy the Justice Society. However, the android was too human and came to rebel against his programming cause him to go dormant. Morrow continued his experiments creating the female Red Inferno who sacrificed her life to save the Justice Society and then the Red Tornado who turned against his creator. T. O. Morrow then reactivated the former androids and recaptured Red Tornado so that they would join his newest creation Red Volcano. The androids took over the Sanctuary headquarters containing the Team until Red Volcano turned against his creator and intended to destroy all of humanity. Red Tornado managed to convince Red Torpedo and Red Inferno that they were heroic individuals which caused the two to turn against Red Volcano who was seemingly destroyed but at the cost of their lives.
