History

Cameron Hodge leads the Right in X-Factor v1 #23.

The Right were an organization with anti-Mutant opinion and had been established by Cameron Hodge. (X-Factor v1 #22)

Hodge was responsible for engineering a number of incidents to generate anti-Mutant sentiment. Among these included amputating Angel's wings, kidnapped X-Factor's charges, created anti-Mutant hysteria, threaten San Francisco and kill people in New York. This resulted in the world coming to blame Mutants and turning ordinary humans against them. (X-Factor v1 #23)

An artificial intelligence based on Cameron Hodge came to inhabit a robot copy of his body and believed himself to be the original. The Hodge Code came to be implanted into several Automated Systems of the Right where they began to evolve. (Hellions v1 #8)

Nanny's egg-ship later came to be re-possessed by the Right who took it to one of their bases. (Hellions v1 #7)

Overview

They came to see Mutants as biological oddities and genetic monsters. According to them, it was necessary to understand Mutants in order to better exploit them properly. Mutants were expected to either obey the laws set for them or to die. (X-Factor v1 #23)

There were mechanisms within the suits that helped compensate for attempts by telekinetics to push them down. (X-Factor v1 #23)

Another piece of equipment used by the Right were Power Dampers. These harnesses could be clamped onto a Mutant to deprive them of their superpowers. These were based on known power stats blocks but those who had been augmented could be much stronger than the damper and thus overpower its effects (X-Factor v1 #23)

They were known to make use of robots that served as duplicates and body doubles of their leaders. These could be used to distract enemies and keep them at bay whilst the real person escaped capture. (X-Factor v1 #23)

Artificial intelligences could be used to help pilot the Rights suits. (Hellions v1 #7)
