Biography
Melody Pond was the daughter of Amy Pond and Rory Williams where she was conceived following her parents wedding whilst they travelled on the Doctor's TARDIS as it transitioned through the time vortex. (Episode: A Good Man Goes to War) Her mother Amy was unaware that she was pregnant at the time and continued to enjoy her honeymoon with her husband as they travelled through space with the Eleventh Doctor. (Episode: A Christmas Carol)

Powers and abilities
Due to her conception on the TARDIS, Melody Pond was exposed to the Time Vortex which imparted some elements of Time Lord DNA into her genetic makeup. This combined with experiments made by the Silence allowed her to achieve certain traits commonly seen among that species such as the ability to regenerate despite the fact that her parents were ordinary humans.
