Rod of Houtras

The Rod of Houtras is one of several rods capable of driving the Apparatus. This rod is only capable of activating the machine's soul-exchanging powers. The Rod of Houtras was acquired at one time by the High Master Illithid of Bluetspur, who used it to transfer his mind into the tadpole body of a vampiric illithid.
