- In Emperor: Battle for Dune, Sandworms appeared in the setting of the video game where they were a threat to factions that were travelling on the sands with them randomly emerging to consume any object in their path in the various game modes. During the campaign plotline, the Bene Tleilaxu were gathering samples from dead Sandworms as part of a larger plot with the Spacing Guild using it to create a hybrid Emperor Worm to dominate the various factions.
