Following the Flashpoint, a new version of reality was created with a different history of events. Sapphire Stagg was the daughter of noted millionaire and businessman Simon Stagg where she had a brother named '''Sebastian Stagg'''. As children, she and her brother often played games together where they imagined themselves in charge of Stagg Enterprises with them making numerous products that they planned to sell. One day, her father fell ill and was in the hospital where he made a full recovery. Upon being released, he had a private word with his son Sebastian who he determined had attempted to poison him. In response, Simon banished Sebastian from the family home and had him sent to a boarding school in Gotham City. Sapphire was unaware of the fate of her brother except that he was disowned by their father and that she was considered his only child from this point onwards. (The Terrifics v1 #29)

Following the Flashpoint, a new version of reality was created with a different history of events. Sapphire Stagg was the daughter of noted millionaire and businessman Simon Stagg where she had a brother named Sebastian Stagg.

On returning back, she was shocked to discover that Java was actually the mysterious masked supervillain known as Doc Dread. He revealed that he had taken on the guise in order to eliminate Rex Mason in order to have Sapphire for himself as he was deeply in love with her. She rejected his advances and informed the rest of the Terrifics who had returned from their Multiversal adventure to confront Java but the Neanderthal managed to escape capture. (Terrifics v1 #10)
