The Shadowpact
Madame Xanadu called upon the Shadowpact to notify them that Mary Marvel had acquired the powers of Black Adam with these seemingly having corrupted her. She began to unleash her magic against the world where she caused poachers to be turned into animals or plants and aged convicted murderers in prison to death. This was deemed as a threat to the mystical balance and was not justice with the Shadowpact deciding to intervene. (Countdown v1 #28) However, instead, Mary Marvel attacked them at the Oblivion Bar during the intervention where she was aided by the Jean Loring Eclipso. (Countdown v1 #27)
