Biography

Original Timeline

Sindel was a humanoid female from the realm of Edenia who came to marry its ruler Jarrod as Queen of their kingdom. At some point, she became pregnant and gave birth to their daughter Princess Kitana.

Afterwards, she came to rule Outworld as Shao Kahn's queen until her untimely death around 10,000 years ago.

The peace attained was broken once again by a threat from Outworld after the Dragon King Onaga was resurrected. He invaded Edenia which became flooded by his Tarkatan warriors that managed to keep Sindel captive in her own prison. During this time, the Edenian ruler cam to learn that Kitana had become Onaga's slave and guarded the prison with Sindel not able to harm her daughter even to attain her own freedom. She only managed to escape with the help of Jade where the pair fled to Outworld in order to learn more about the threat of the Dragon King. This was because Onaga had begun a search of Edenia though Sindel was unaware of what he was seeking in the realm. However, Sindel believed that the knowledge left behind by Shao Kahn was too dangerous to be allowed to fall into enemy hands and sought to destroy it as it could spell disaster for the realms.

Reboot Timeline

During the Armageddon, Shao Kahn ultimately won where all of creation faced destruction but during the last moments of Raiden he managed to his past experiences back to his younger self. This created a change in the timeline as the younger Raiden was guided by the scattered visions of the future where he sought to avert this dark future.

However, an account in this reality was that Sindel felt threatened with the loss of her throne to Shao Kahn during the conquest of her realm. This saw her betray her husband and her own people in order to maintain her privileged position as Queen. This saw her agreeing to become the wife of Shao Kahn and thus the Queen of Outworld where she enjoyed great power as well as wealth beyond any person's imagination.
