Skaar was the child of the [[Hulk (Marvel)|Hulk]] and [[Caiera]] the Oldstrong with the pair conceiving their son during the Hulk's time on the planet [[Sakaar]]. Following Caiera's death, the Hulk departed Sakaar as he sought revenge against those that had banished him from his homeworld of Earth. In that time, Sjaar had emerged from a cocoon where he was the age equivalent of a human being in their pre-teen years. After a year, he began to resemble a teenager and in time he became an intelligent adult. It was during these years that he began to demonstrate his skill as a fierce and capable warrior where he became enemies of Axeman Bone. He later gained the power of the Oldstrong stone-like power that allowed him to draw on power from Sakaar itself and was seen by his world's people as a saviour. Skaar also began to show the power to communicate with his deceased mother's spirit but she became troubled by him becoming a killer instead of a bringer of peace for her people.

  • In Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H., Skaar was a featured member of the cast in the animated television series where he was voiced by actor Benjamin Diskin. Skaar was depicted as a warrior but with low intelligence and speaking slowly in simple English. His back story was shown in the first season finale where he was shown as an orphan on Sakaar with no memory of his biological parents. He was taken in by a kind family until Sakaar came under attack from the Leader. Skaar attempted to save his world but was defeated by the Leader who brainwashed him into being his personal enforcer. In "Doorway to Destruction", he was sent to accompany Annihilus's invasion forces from the Negative Zone that attacked Earth leading to his encounter with the Hulk. He later became an ally to Hulk and joined the team known as S.M.A.S.H.
  • In Ultimate Spider-Man, Skaar appeared as a guest character in the animated television series episode "Contest of Champions, Part 2" where he was voiced by actor Benjamin Diskin.
