The Sword of Omens was a sword developed by the inhabitants of Thundera where it was the weapon for the Lord of the ThunderCats.

Overview

In appearance, the Sword of Omens was a blade that normally appeared as a short-sword where by its base was a large red jewel. It was capable of extending at will allowing it to be a full-length longsword. The blade itself was near indestructible where it was shown as being extremely strong, durable, and razor-sharp. These traits allowed it to be able to slice through hardened materials such as steel and solid stone with relative ease.

The source of its power was the red jewel which was the Eye of Thundera.

It was typically paired with the claw shield that was also used by the wielder of the sword.
