Biography
Thailog (1994 - ?) was a clone of Goliath created by Dr. Anton Sevarius and programmed by David Xanatos with his own "unique slant on things". Thailog proved to be more devious and clever than his creators took him for, and he was able to manipulate Xanatos, Sevarius and Goliath to fall into his trap at the Black Rock Point Oil Rig. While they escaped his trap, Thailog escaped with $20 million of Xanatos's money.
Thailog traveled to Paris and created a lair in Notre Dame Cathedral and later met and became involved with Demona. During their tryst, the two formed Nightstone Unlimited, and Thailog attempted to eliminate both Demona and Macbeth into marrying and killing one another so he could legally collect their personal fortunes. The plot was foiled by Goliath, Elisa Maza and Angela, but he escaped with Demona at his side.
Thailog and Demona relocated Nightstone Unlimited to Manhattan and re-hired Sevarius in a plot to clone the Manhattan Clan. The plot succeeded, and Thailog created the Clone Clan, but behind Demona's back he created Delilah. Upon trapping the clan, he tested Demona's loyalty with Angela's life and when in his eyes she failed the test, he revealed to her the existence of Delilah. In the ensuing battle, the clones were defeated and Thailog and Demona vanished in a fire.

Personality and attributes
He adopted a human disguise to operate in society where he went by the name of Alexander Thailog.
In personality Thailog is Goliath's polar opposite: Thoroughly devious and treacherous, he will happily betray anyone for his own benefit, and not only does he display a complete lack of the Gargoyle instinct to guard; but actively seeks to inflict pain and suffering. He demonstrates sociopathy to an extent which dwarfs even Demona's, and at times seems completely mindful of and at ease with his own wicked nature.
Thailog runs Nightstone Unlimited by speaker-phone, memo, and e-mail to keep his employees from learning his true nature. The purple Gargoyle tends to share one personality trait in common with his father Goliath- a fondness for stories and knowledge. He "encourages" his Illuminati assistant Shari to tell him stories, particularly about the other Gargoyles.
Powers and abilities
Physically, Thailog is a perfect clone of Goliath, sharing the same silhouette, prodigious strength, and voice; although with altered pigmentation and markings because of his artificially accelerated aging. As a result, his hair is white, his eyes are red, his skin is a dark purple/indigo shade, and his wing membranes are pale lilac. He often wears battle armor and a helmet, which he obtained after his escape from Black Rock Point, though at times he has been seen without the armor or in other clothing such as a Roman toga. Thailog's intellect and personality are the products of an artificially accelerated growth process and subliminal programming by Anton Sevarius and David Xanatos.
Clones that share Thailog's physical features but with cybernetic enhancements form a portion of Xanatos' army.
Using a human alias, he came to be a co-founder by a business conglomerate called Nightstone Unlimited.
Notes
- Thailog was created by Greg Weisman where he featured in the setting of the Gargoyles universe.
- According to Greg Weisman, Thailog did survive the fire. "The Thailogs of this world always survive." Thailog would have returned to become the Manhattan Clan's main antagonist.
- In the Goliath Chronicles, Thailog was afflicted by a degenerative condition that also affected the Clone Clan. Thailog failed in his attempt to get an antidote for the condition from Dr. Sevarius, and turned to stone, apparently forever.
