Biography
Benjamin Grimm
In the wake of the Dark Reign, Luke Cage asked the Thing to join his new incarnation of the Avengers that were being based at Avengers Mansion with Grimm accepting the offer. (New Avengers v2 #1) They were then attacked by a possessed Doctor Strange and Daimon Hellstrom who were looking to claim the Eye of Agamotto. (New Avengers v2 #2)

- The Thing was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby where she made her first appearance in Fantastic Four v1 #1 (November, 1961).
- In Stan Lee: The Man Behind Marvel (2017), it is noted that the Thing was modelled by Jack Kirby on himself.
