Biography

Gunna Sijurvald was a female Asgardian whose mother was captured by the Magzi and imprisoned during a time when Thor Odinson was cast out of Asgard. (Thor v1 #150) This saw her being kept amongst the Magzi who were the most feral tribe of Trolls. One of their own came to mate with Gunna and the pairing produced a child who resembled an Asgardian. The child came to be raised amongst the Trolls and treated as one of their own because of her heritage. At some point, she and some of her tribe were captured by Asgard who came to learn of the child's existence. Not revealing her name, they came to call her Gunna Sijurvald after her mother and attempted to instruct her in Asgardian ways but the child refused. They were kept in Asgard until the city was destroyed in the events of the Siege whereupon the Trolls escaped into the United States of America as the Asgardian's home had relocated to Midgard by this point. Several of Magzi had eaten U.S. citizens when the Thunderbolts arrived at the scene to neutralise them. It was during that moment that Troll ambushed the Ghost and prepared to kill him when she was knocked out by Crossbones. She was taken to the Raft where the Valkyrie Brunnhilde identified her with her wanting to take the child back to Asgard. However, U.S. Agent refused this on account of the deaths caused by the Trolls and Luke Cage requested that Troll remain with them for now. (Thor v1 #146)
