Biography

Tyr was a male member of the race of Asgardians where he was the eldest son of Odin that was born after the loss of the firstborn Aldrif. (Angela: Queen of Hel v1 #3)

Personality and attributes

Though regarded as a war god, he claimed to have love in his heart with this being the driving factor for the defence of Asgard as he loved his home. It was the love of it and its citizens that drove him to sacrifice his hand to the Fenris Wolf. Tyr was at one time secretly in love with the Lady Sif though it was a long time before he proclaimed his feelings for the Lady Sif but she rejected him as she loved Thor. (Thor v1 #312)
