Biography

The Violator in Spawn v1 #14.

The Violator was a male demon from Hell who was one of the five famous Phlebiac Brothers. (Spawn v1 #8)

Long ago, he was dispatched by his master to test a Hellspawn wizard in the human world. This involved kidnapping his love in order to force a confrontation. As a result, the two battled one another where ultimately the Violator was slain but the spawn's love rebuffed him after seeing his horrific appearance. The Violator was thus returned to Hell where his master Malebolgia restored him and was pleased as the demon's actions had destroyed the last love the Hellspawn felt which would make him a worthy addition into their armies. Meanwhile, the encounter on Earth became regarded as legend with the Violator being seen as a dragon thus bringing those creatures into Western beliefs. (Spawn v1 #15)

Taking the guise of a clown, he was tasked with checking up on the newest Hellspawn that was Al Simmons. Before doing so, the Violator began a rampage where he started killing humans from murdering people at the Dawncorp building to killing more humans where he claimed their hearts. (Spawn v1 #2) He met with Spawn in an alleyway but Simmons refused to join the clown who turned into his demonic form. With apparent ease, the Violator came to pull out the heart of the Hellspawn and was about to leave him for dead when Simmons stood back up to confront him. (Spawn v1 #3)

In Hell, he took the guise of Little Jessica where 'she' was among a group of human survivors attempting to conduct a test on Billy Kincaid after he was reborn in that realm. He then took Kincaid to the Eighth Sphere that was ruled by Malebolgia and intended to bond him to the K3-Myrlu neural parasite. (Spawn v1 #8)

Trapped on Earth, the Violator was stuck in his human form where he looked for a way to regain his lost power. (Spawn v1 #15)

He later got caught by mobsters that tried to kill him by securing his feet in concrete and throwing him into the waters by the docks. Violator managed to free himself and killed the mobsters at the scene. Afterwards, he had to contend with a hired Mafia enforcer named the Admonisher sent to kill him. (Violator v1 #1) It was then that his four demonic siblings among the Phlebiac Brothers arrived who manifested on Earth in order to kill Violator themselves to prevent their reputation from being sullied any further. (Violator v1 #2)
