Biography

Vladimir Harkonnen was a male human born on Giedi Prime as a noble scion of the House Harkonnen. From an early age, he showed an interest in attaining power and was trained to become the heir of the family.

The return of House Harkonnen to power generally was ascribed to adroit manipulation of the whale fur market and later consolidation with melange wealth from Arrakis.

The Baron's intent to exterminate the Atreides line came closer to fruition when Duke Leto Atreides was lured to the desert planet Arrakis on the pretense of taking over the valuable melange operation there.
