Biography

War.

War was a male warrior of the Nephilim who was born eons ago in Creation. At the time, her race waged a war to conquer Eden despite it being gifted to the race of Man and threatened all of existence. This was until War and his siblings Death, Fury and Strife saw the danger of the Nephilim leading to them pledging their service to the Charred Council. Thus, the four were gifted great power as they became the Council's enforcers as the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. They then were dispatched to eliminate the renegade Nephilim leading to the destruction of their race after which the Horsemen were used as keepers of the Balance on behalf of the Charred Council. Afterwards, Strife and War were given an assignment by the Council where they were sent to foil a plot by Lucifer to bring about the downfall of Man. This saw the two going to Shadow's Edge where they sought its ruler the demon lord Samael who they believed was conspiring with their quarry. Arriving at the infernal realm, they discovered Blackstone under attack from an army of demons. War suggested that they use the battle as a distraction in order to find a weakness in the fortress and sneak in. The two came to suspect that the attacker was the demon Moloch and they made their way to the outer wall of Blackstone where they dealt with the Hollow Fiend who had been tearing away at the fortress's defences. After dealing with the beast, the two Horsemen came upon Samael who said that he would answer their questions if they helped deal with Moloch. He came to sent the two to meet his associate Vulgrim in the Serpent Holes where War came to discover the Vorpal blade that was a crossblade he began to wield in combat. Vulgrim came to reveal that he had an arrangement with Samael that involved the acquisition of a particular item but was content to make this deal with the two Horsemen. War and Strife then entered the Slag that was a molten prison dimension where they had broken the lock for the treasure within with them being confronted by the Slag Demon. After a battle with the demon, the two came to claim the treasure and returned to base where the crystal was transformed into a female demon named Dis who was a fellow merchant. She was an associate of Vulgrim who had been sent to claim a powerful item within Lucifer's possession and punished for her failure. The Horsemen were then sent to retrieve the Ember Core in the Inferno Vault before Lucifer could claim it for himself.

Later on, War awoke when he received the call to attend the End War where he crash-landed in the center of one of humanity's cities where he found himself in the midst of the conflict between Heaven and Hell. Upon arriving, he came to find that he was the only member of his siblings to be present. War came to slay anything that barred his path until he reached the city center to find the Archangel Abaddon leading the angelic forces against the demonic hordes. He came to demand from the Archangel on where his kin were though Abaddon was surprised at the Horseman's presence where he exclaimed that the seventh seal was not broken. This distraction meant he was caught unaware by the powerful gigantic demon known as Straga who emerged from the molten ground. War came to battle the abyssal commander where he managed to put out one of Straga's eyes in the process. He nearly won their battle when his powers mysteriously were drained and in his weakened state he was crushed by Straga with him then appearing before the Charred Council. They came to accuse Horseman of triggering the End War before the appointed time which allowed for Hell's armies to claim victory in the conflict. As a result, the Council had stripped War of his power which included his sword and horse as they prepared for his judgment. At their mercy, he was visited by his 'sister' Fury who taunted War for his failure. The Council had called her to deal with the matter of the unleashed Seven Deadly Sins that were roaming free in the desecrated Third Kingdom where Fury was tasked with their re-capture.

Overview

Personality and attributes

It was noted that his eyes and hair were white.

When he was younger, he was shown to had been a bit more wild and reckless but still approached situations rationally and restrained his impulses unlike his brother Strife.

The fury of his massive sword was said to had been unmatched in combat and that he was as unyielding as time itself.

He was noted for being both honorable and savage. It was said that he was the most honorable of the Horseman.

Powers and abilities

Riding Ruin.

As one of the Nephilim, War was a powerful inhabitant of Creation where as one of the Horsemen he was stronger than angels and demons. Among his siblings, he was noted for being physically the strongest of their ranks. Even in his normal form, his physical might was so great that he was able to overpower Abaddon in his Destroyer guise in a direct contest of strength.

He wielded a blade known as the Chaoseater that was able to absorb chaotic energies from the battlefield. He could then use this energy to physically empower himself in a fight thus becoming faster and stronger with this being proportional to how much energy he absorbed.

He later came to wield the stronger Armageddon Blade.

On his hand, a piece of equipment that he came to wield was the Tremor Gauntlet.

Among the items in his possession included the Earthcaller that was a mystic horn capable of knocking back enemies and waking Tormented Gates.

Similar to all the Horsemen, he gained a Phantom Horse named Ruin that accompanied him on his journeys.

War was capable of changing into a more powerful state that was referred to as his Chaos Form. This was accomplished by accessing the great rage that stirred within him. In this state, he appeared as a hulking fiery demon far larger than War's normal form with vestigial wings on his back and a sword of fire in his hand.
