Biography

Wedge Antilles was a male human born in the galaxy far, far away on the planet Corellia.

He came to be a top ranking Rebel Alliance pilot and the commander of Rogue Squadron, Wedge Antilles fought in all three of the major battles of the Galactic Civil War. Originally from Corellia, Wedge flew under the callsign of Red Two as Luke Skywalker's wngman during the Battle of Yavin despite his open criticism of General Dodonna's plan to destroy the Death Star by targeting its thermal exhaust port.

Wedge survived the battle when his X-Wing starfighter sustained a hit from Darth Vader himself, forcing him to pull out of the battle. Approximately three years later, Wedge again defended the Rebellion against the evil Empire in the Battle of Hoth. Piloting a snowspeeder with Wes Janson as his gunner, Wedge was part of Rogue Group, which met Blizzard Force head-on. Wedge and Janson used their snowspeeder's tow-cable to trip up the AT-AT Walker Blizzard 2.

During the Battle of Endor, Wedge, once more piloting an X-Wing, flew under the callsign Red Leader and spearheaded the attack on the unfinished second Death Star. Along with several other Rebel pilots he flew into the battle station's superstructure for the purposes of targeting the main reactor. Although Wedge managed to get a hit in on the reactor, it was Lando Calrissian in the Millennium Falcon who got the killing shot.
