Jadis was a female witch born to the royal family of the world of Charn where it was said that she was part-Jinn and part-Giant. She was said to be the last of a long line of kings and queens had been good rulers in the beginning but grew evil over many generations and conquered the entire world of Charn which they ruled as despots. Jadis came to be a powerful sorceress but it was known that she had fought a bloody war of rebellion against her sister.
