History

The 1st Biological Warfare Command or Blackwatch were a special forces group within the U.S. military that was responsible for development and containment of bio-hazard or viral outbreaks. It was established on June 9, 1962 by DARPA and the Department of the Army where they were first created to protect America from biological attacks and operated from their base at Fort Detrick, Maryland.

Overview

In appearance, Blackwatch was a secret black operations unit whose existence was not known to the public where they had authority to conduct any action to contain viral outbreaks. The organization had access to large stockpiles of military weapons and experimental technologies. This they used in conjunction with information control techniques to hide their existence from the American public. Their authority allowed them to command U.S. armed forces and the police in matters relating to biological warfare. Thus, they could request any information and military force that was placed under their command. Blackwatch was single-minded in the completion of their goal and believed the ends justified the means. Thus, their soldiers were able to execute infected humans without hesitation to limit viral infections and even authorise weapons fire in urban areas in order to destroy their target.
