Biography
The Extreme Deep Invader (EDI) was a drone aircraft that was created by the United States military to operate in battle engagements. It was constructed as part of an initiative to introduce a superior automated Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle fighter as the next generation of war machines. This led to Dr Keith Orbit of Orbit Industries being recruited to help design the artificial intelligence system for the drone.
Overview
Personality and attributes
In appearance, EDI was a computer system that was based in the cockpit of a craft where it was housed in a spherical computer core that contained the artificial intelligence.
Following exposure to human contact, EDI began to entertain itself through the use of loud music. It also developed problem solving capabilities as after being unable to access an automated aerial fuel depot it decided to shoot the fuel pump and link to the broken port to refuel its craft.
Powers and abilities
It was a highly advanced system that was created through the use of quantum processing. Due to its computerised intelligence, EDI was capable of rapid calculations in order to determine what would be most effective against his enemies. Unfortunately, a lightning strike would result in EDI developing sentience and the entity became obsessed with fictional scenarios.
The UCAVs capabilities allowed it to perform numerous evasive aerial maneuvers that were beyond those of a human pilot. In terms of armaments, it was equipped with machine guns and various forms of missiles.
