Biography

Kosmo Krank was an inventor and toymaker who had established himself in Gotham City where he created a company called KrankCo that built toys for children. However, each of his toys were highly dangerous or malfunctioned thus becoming a danger to the child's life in the process. Among his latest inventions was the Kosmo Flyer that he advertised for children but a number of these kids were left trapped on the machines or stranded in dangerous locations because of them. This led to Bruce Wayne campaigning against Kosmo Krank with Wayne Enterprises instituting Project: Safety Net with stopping the continued practice of Krank. As a result, KrankCo was shut down due to Wayne earning the enmity of Kosmo Krank who wanted revenge against Bruce Wayne. This led to him adopting the guise of the Toymaker who sent some of his Krankbots to attack Wayne during a board meeting at Wayne Enterprises. Krank himself was present in a public attack against Wayne only to be confronted by the Batman though Kosmo managed to escape on his Kosmo Flyer. Due to his actions, Commissioner Jim Gordon assigned Detective Cash Tankinson of the Gotham City Police Department to protect millionaire Bruce Wayne. Afterwards, a Zoompet was used to attack Wayne at his home at Wayne Manor with the robot being deactivated. The Batman attempted to follow Krank to one of his factories but this turned out to be a trap with the building collapsing whereupon the Dark Knight was surrounded by Krankbots but these machines were easily destroyed. During a public event, Krank once more targeted Bruce Wayne and captured him in his large spinning top machine. He took the millionaire to his hide-out at Krank Town where he intended to kill him by placing him within molten plastic only to discover Wayne was missing. Instead, Kosmo was confronted by the Batman and later by Detective Tankinson where he dispatched his horde of toy robots against them. During the engagement, his Zoompets managed to capture Cash Tankinson an threatened his life to stop Batman. However, the Dark Knight managed to cause Kosmo to fall to the ground where his remote control fell out of his hand and into Batman's who commandeered the toy robots to turn against their creator thus apprehending him. The Gotham City police later arrived where they apprehended Kosmo Krank who vowed revenge against Bruce Wayne.
