They were a secret and powerful union where Ganeldo wanted to be proactive in the elimination of worlds that were a threat to the universe. In Rogol Zaar, they came to find an agent to act on their behalf though he came to be defiant and unpredictable. (Supergirl v7 #29) Meeting the Circle, he swore vengeance against Krypton for destroying his world where he met with Gandelo in secret where she offered him the chance to achieve his goal. In exchange for his devotion to her cause, Rogol Zaar was provided a device stolen and reverse engineered from [[Zor-El]] that was to be used to destroy the planet. (Supergirl v7 #29) Taking Zaar into orbit, Superman fought the alien with their fight leading them to the Moon. Despite his anger, the Man of Steel came to be defeat by Rogol Zaar who left the injured Kryptonian unconscious as he made his way back to Earth to continue his revenge.
