It was Hafez who found [[Anck Su Namun]] reincarnated in [[Meela Nais]] and financed the excavation of [[Hamunaptra]] and recovered the body of Imhotep, using the [[Black Book]] to resurrect the former high priest. From then on Hafez was one of Imhotep's most loyal followers, and ended up being killed by the [[Scorpion King]].
