'''Dr. Kalamarus''' was once a brilliant marine biologist until a freak lab accident transformed him into a half-human, half-squired creature. In his shark-shaped [[Maneater|submarine]] he traveled the oceans, wreaking havoc upon all sea life under the pretense of revenge. In reality, Kalamarus was just using his revenge scheme as a cover for raiding sunken ships of their treasure. [[Mighty Max]] discovered this and so Kalamarus attempted to kill him using his trident. He missed and hit his sub's main laser cannon. The weapon overloaded and blew up, killing Kalamarus whilst Max escaped on Kalamarus' [[Electro-Manta|robotic manta ray]].
