'''Ellie Hagen''' was a woman living in Chicago. The day the [[Clone (creature)|clone]] was created and attacked the city, Ellie had other things on her mind. She was being romantically pursued by [[Henry (The Clone)|Henry]], a married man who was a co-worker of hers. Although they had never actually date, when Ellie finally broke down and agreed to have an affair with Henry, she felt so guilty she thought of suicide. Even as she shopped at Steinway's for a dress to wear to dinner with Henry, she was contemplating either shooting herself or taking sleeping pills. The appearance of the clone, which emerged from a water fountain and began absorbing customers, gave Ellie (in her mind) the "out" she needed.
