After the death of the station's radar operator, Stanley joined forces with [[Jeff Callum|Jeff Callum]] and [[Godfrey Hanson|Dr. Godfrey Hanson]] to stop the invading heat aliens. While his subordinate [[Foster, Gerald|Gerald Foster]] went with Hanson to build bonfires to attract the aliens, Stanley accompanied Callum and [[Frankie Callum|Frankie Callum]] and [[Roberts, Angela|Angela Roberts]] to lob dynamite at them from the island's lighthouse. Angela ran away though, forcing Stanley to separate from the Callums and chase after her, whereupon the two sought refuge inside an old building near the lighthouse. He and Angela survived thanks to a sudden thunderstorm, whose rain killed the aliens. ==Comments== *Stanley appears to be a combination of two characters from the novel, [[Gieves]] and [[Pearce]].
