Johnny was Barbra's older brother, an irreligious sort who reluctantly visited his father's grave with his sister. After trying to scare her, the siblings encountered one of the living dead in the graveyard, who attacked. In trying to defend his sister, Johnny's head was smashed on a gravestone, killing him instantly. Later, his animated corpse attacked the abandoned farmhouse where Barbra and company had holed up; a stunned Barbra allowed her brother to kill her.
