Lord Carradine was a wealthy English landowever and entrepreneur who "owned half of London." Carradine was one of four men (along with Prof. Julian Keeley, General Sir Arthur Freeborne and John Porter) who served on the managing board of D.D. Denham Group of Companies, involved in blood-worshipping rituals at Pelham House. Like the other men, Carradine was promised wealth and power by Count Dracula, D.D. Denham himself. Little did Carradine know that Dracula really planned to use all four men as carriers of a deadly plague engineered by Professor Keeley. Along with Freeborne, Carradine was able to escape thanks to the help of Larimer Van Helsing and Inspector Murray.
