Inspector Bird

Inspector Bird was a police inspector in the town of Iping. When Constable Jaffers claimed to have been confronted with an invisible assailant in the Lion's Head Inn, Bird immediately decided the entire thing was a hoax. He went personally to the Lion's Head and interviewed all of the patrons and townspeople who claimed to have encountered the unseen criminal.
