Alan Zegler was the foreman of the construction crews at the Verne Research Center. When the Quests arrived for a tour, Zegler was assigned by Dr. Duval to show Jonny Quest and Jessie Bannon around. The three went scuba diving. Following an undersea earthquake the three were set upon by a pack of carnivorous sea creatures. They fled to the moon pool and although Jonny and Jessie got out, Zegler was seized and eaten.
