Born Al Caprice, the criminal mastermind otherwise known as Big Boy was the arch enemy of Dick Tracy and the biggest mob boss in the City. Big Boy was a diminuitive but physically powerful hunchback with a love of walnuts and quoting famous historical figures (although he was known to twist the quotes around to his own advantage).

He led a cadre of deformed thugs, goons, and hitmen like Flattop, Itchy, Mumbles and Numbers, and controlled all the gambling in town. He even hatched a grand scheme to unite all the lesser bosses in the City under him, including Pruneface and Influence, but was eventually done in by Tracy with some assistance from the vigilante known only as the Blank.
