Peter soon began to suspect that Greg was not the nice guy he seemed, and that his colleague was secretly carrying out his own private research independant of their joint quest to cure the T-Virus. He attempted to contact George to alert him of the problem, but by the time George finally arrived at the university Peter was already dead. Exactly how Peter died is unknown, although it is likely that Greg found out about his partner's spying and killed him.
