The Gemkat 6000 is an experimental diamond mining machine built by Dr. Lieter Greenbox for Warden Cyrus Meece. Although it looked complicated, the Gemkat 6000 was simple to use: one merely pointed it at a wall of rock and the powerful, mega-hot laser beam would convert the otherwise useless minerals into precious stones (presumably this was done by heating the rocks to the point of crystallization).
